This Capstone Project looks into the design and construction of a Supermarket in Downtown Baton Rouge. The effects of the site on the market’s business and the effects of the store on the local economy have been studied. After much research the developers of Downtown Baton Rouge see a need and opportunity for retail development in this area.

The design of Louisiana Harvest will follow through all levels and phases of design. The final product will include construction drawings, furniture specifications, and a final presentation.

The client for this design would be the storeowner who is a young entrepreneur looking to help in the revitalization of Baton Rouge. The users to keep in mind are the employees, customers, and the client. Each user group identifies with his/her own needs and concerns. As a result one of the goals of the design is to incorporate the needs off every group with out compromising another.
